One Hot Pilates studios provide complimentary mats, straps, fitballs, jump boards and magic circles in a contemporary setting enhanced with a fresh air climate-control system to help you get stronger, faster. The harder it gets, the harder you work, until strength becomes both a physical and mental characteristic. The goal is alignment, but you have to shake things up to get there.

One Hot Yoga & Pilates is proud to be the first studio in the world to offer Hot Mat Pilates. The pilates mat workout is a strong sequence that emphasises mobility and builds control of the spine and core. Make the most of traditional and contemporary equipment in a room heated to 27ºC. This 50-minute class is all about challenging yourself. The rewards are worth it.

REFORMER PILATES 21o

Fight gravity in this 45-minute class using the new Allegro 2 Reformer by Balanced Body. With an EasySet Footbar, SoftTouch Rope System, precision carriage, 46 resistance settings and a sleek design it’s engineered for comfort. The room is heated to 21˚C while the reformer – from muscle isolation to integration – builds heat from the inside out.

When practiced with consistency, our Hot Mat and Reformer Pilates will improve your overall wellbeing and body awareness.  With a focus on building strength, improving flexibility and developing control and endurance, our teachers also place attention on breathing, balance, alignment and coordination.

As you progress and your body strengthens and adapts to the exercises, intensity and resistance can be modified to create a more challenging class.

  • ABOUT PILATES

    The Pilates method of exercise was developed in the early 20th century by German-born Joseph Pilates. Pilates believed that mental and physical health are interrelated and his system of exercises was developed with the intention of strengthening both the mind and the body. An energetic inventor, Pilates designed many pieces of equipment (the most famous and versatile being the Reformer) to assist and challenge those practising his method.

     

    One Hot Pilates is a contemporary, fitness-based style that draws on the traditional method and is accessible to all levels.

  • CAN I VISIT STUDIOS 2, 3 AND 4 WITH MY MEMBERSHIP?

    Yes, come as often as you like – our Pilates membership, called One Hot Everything, gives you unlimited access to reformer Pilates in Studios 3 & 4 as well as all regularly scheduled classes in Studios 1 and 2. With over 100 classes per week and various styles and levels, our memberships represent amazing value.

  • BEFORE CLASS & WHAT TO BRING

    – Be well hydrated
    – Don’t eat for 1.5 hours before class
    – Wear clothes you can move in – leggings or shorts and a tank top
    – Socks with grippy soles will help you hold poses on the reformer
    – If you would like to shower after class, towels are available to hire
    – Water is available to purchase
    – We have showers with body wash, shampoo and conditioner
    – Our change rooms are equipped with hair dryers and straightening irons

  • CAN I VISIT BOTH STUDIO 1 AND STUDIO 2 WITH MY YOGA MEMBERSHIP?

    Yes, come as often as you like – our Yoga membership gives you unlimited access to both studios. With over 60 classes per week and many styles on offer, our memberships represent amazing value.

    We also have new One Hot Everything memberships including both our Yoga and Pilates classes, providing access to our full range of classes and all four studios.

  • ETIQUETTE

    – Arrive at least ten minutes before class as there is no late admittance. The studio is open 15 minutes before class
    – Check-in at reception for all classes
    – No personal belongings in the Pilates studio other than water and towel. There are lockers in the change rooms for valuables
    – No glass water bottles
    – No phones in the Pilates studio
    – Listen carefully to the teacher’s instructions
    – You may lie down at any time to take rest, but commit to staying in the room for the entire class
    – Wipe the upholstery of the reformer, or your mat and surrounding space before you leave the studio
